Several Pacific island countries are investing more in their road networks. Building the right sort of roads that can be maintained especially through rainy seasons is critical. Simple measures such as paying people to clear away vegetation so that roads don’t become overgrown can mean the difference between farmers getting their produce to markets or children being able to travel to school or not.
